Project #: P-2037
Location: Sidney, Nebraska
Project Type: Custom Marble Statue, Installation
Date: September 2023
The decision to install a custom hand carved marble statue of St. Patrick was made by the church leadership at St. Patrick’s church in the diocese of Sidney, Nebraska. They felt that the outdoor space around their church needed a welcoming statue that represented their church.
The church contacted King Richards, a leading provider of custom religious sculptures, to help them design and create a statue that would be a fitting tribute to St. Patrick. King Richards worked closely with the church to understand their vision and created a conceptual design for the statue.
The statue was carved from high-quality marble and features St. Patrick standing in a prayerful posture with his staff in hand. The intricate details on the statue’s clothing and facial features make it a beautiful and timeless piece that adds to the spiritual energy of the outdoor space. The on-site installation of the St. Patrick statue and the pedestal it stands on was also a complete success for the King Richards installation team.
Lauren Fahrenhorst, the King Richard’s team leader of this project, excitingly states that this project was “an amazing collaboration from beginning to end. Amy and Father were fabulous to work with and clearly communicated their vision. The installation of the statue and pedestal went flawlessly and I am thrilled that they were pleased with the beautiful finished piece.
The hand-carved sculpture adds to the beauty and symbolism of the church’s namesake, providing a welcoming atmosphere for the parishioners. The project reflects King Richards’ commitment to customization, attention to detail, and collaboration with clients to create lasting works of art.
